Hello and welcome to my Blog, my name is Chris, a bus driver for First Mendip based in Wells, Somerset. Married to Fiona, we live in Midsomer Norton near Bath, with Boots the cat. My main hobby is Amateur Radio and I hold the call sign G4KVI. I am the repeater keeper for GB3UB and MB7UB. I have a fascination for the weather and all things to do with nature and science. I am a biker and currently ride a Honda CBfF600. As a Christian I worship, when shifts allow at St. Nicholas Church in Radstock. These are my observations on my life, both at work and at home.

Warm hands at last.

After many years of riding I finally bought a set of heated grips for the bike. day off today so got round to fitting them. Easier than I thought, the good old washing up liquid was the key to removing the old ones. Wiring was all straight forward. The only problem I had was that a bought a piggy bag fuse holder which seemed an excellent idea. The problem I had not thought of was the clearance in side the fuse box. A plan B was needed and finally used scotch connectors in the headlight feed. First impressions are very good, using the bike next week so hopefully no more painful fingers.
